Nuclear Power? Affordable, clean and safe power? It doesn't look like it according to this report.

When if ever will successive goverments realise that neither the tax payer, nor the environment can afford nuclear power?

When shops switch off their lights at night, when business curbs its power requirements, when people use less.

It looks as if that's already happening here. With the economic situation there are a lot more empty premises where power is not required. And the local meter cut off employee is so busy he hasn't got time to do his allotment. At one point late November he was doing 10 a day - business and private both. There's a lot of people now on key cards for their meters I think.
