Karen and I spent a pleasant morning today, in my old stomping ground, the North Staffordshire town of Leek. We had a nice walk around the town and spent some time on the stones in the town square. Every Saturday, they have an open market in the square with antique and bric-brac stalls. There was a really nice second hand book stall and for the bargain price of four quid, I managed to pick up an excellent copy of WH Hudson's 'The Illustrated Shepherds Life' That's my bedroom reading sorted for goodness knows how many nights. I'm looking forward to reading it.
